The course focuses on responding to global industry needs and providing students with skills required to adapt to the ever-changing technology-based Creative Industries.
Students will gain creative skills and technological knowledge leading to many exciting career opportunities including in the fields of electronic publishing, web design, information architecture, human-computer interface, design, multimedia design and production, 3-D animation, computer games, exhibition design, scientific and medical visualisation and special effects for film and television.
Escalating demand for these skills by the Creative Industries provide students with exciting options for professional placement and eventual employment nationally and internationally. The state-of-the-art Communication Design facilities at the Academy include desktop video production, high-end three-dimensional animation using industry standard software and hardware, music technology, and multi-platform software design developed using contemporary multimedia authoring applications.
Teaching styles range from hands-on training in the multimedia laboratories to guest lecturers from international experts via the Internet.
